About
Dog Day Press was co-founded in 2003 by Nathan Beazer and Lauren Zoric, who joined forces after previously working at City Slang, Melodic/Inhouse PR, The Leaf Label and Warp Records respectively.

Together, Nathan and Lauren had a wonderful time discovering and telling the press about such splendid artists as Andrew Bird, Black Mountain, Broken Social Scene, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, CocoRosie, Matthew Dear, José González, Gossip, Micah P. Hinson, James Holden, Iron & Wine, Daniel Johnston, Jamie Lidell, Joanna Newsom, The Shins, Vetiver, Saul Williams, Wolf Parade and so many more.

Two Dog Day Press artists have been nominated for the UK's prestigious Mercury Music Prize. In 2005, Antony and the Johnsons won the award. Bat For Lashes was nominated in 2007.

In 2007, Lauren returned to Australia to start Dog Day Oz, and Anna Mears joined the team in London. More great acts including Bon Iver, Beirut, White Denim, Marissa Nadler, Jesca Hoop and School of Seven Bells have since joined the UK roster.

Dog Day Press won 'Best Independent PR company' and 'Best Independent PR individual' for Nathan Beazer at the industry-voted 2008 Record of the Day Awards.
