“Damon Albarn’s collaborations with Little Dragon on ‘Empire Ants’ and ‘To Binge’ are two of the most arresting things here – they’re airy, elusive and amazingly beautiful. It’s been years since Albarn has written anything as blatantly gorgeous” Pitchfork on Plastic Beach

Little Dragon have announced a one-off show at London’s Koko on 23 September. Having collaborated on the recent Gorillaz album Plastic Beach, where the band’s contributions were regarded by most as album highlights, Little Dragon have just headlined with Murdoc and 2D et al on the main stage at Glastonbury this weekend (with The Guardian describing Yukimi’s duet with Albarn ‘To Binge’ as “devastatingly tender”) The band will also appear on David Sitek’s upcoming solo project Maximum Balloon, collaborating on the track ‘If You Return’, due out in August. And if that wasn’t enough, high profile artists have been queuing up to sing the praises of these unassuming Swedes with the likes of P Diddy, DJ Shadow, Wendy & Lisa, The Bug and Raphael Saadiq among the bands fans, as well as supporting the Scissor Sisters on their UK tour earlier this month and touring with the Gorillaz on their UK and US tours in the Autumn. Phew! It’s safe to say Little Dragon are a band in demand.

Their second album proper Machine Dreams was released last year to much critical acclaim and a single is planned for this autumn. Little Dragon are currently recording the new album ready for release in 2011, more details to follow very soon…

“It’s not easy to pull off cerebral dance music… everything shimmers beguilingly” Sunday Times
“One of the most unique electronic outfits to emerge from the deluge of synth-touting eighties nostalgics” The Sun
“One listen to Machine Dreams confirms that beneath the sweeping, scattershot electronic/analogue approach, Little Dragon’s heart beats faster than ever” 4/5 Mixmag
“Machine Dreams sees Little Dragon ditch their former ways in favour of a taut electro funk which falls somewhere between the nightmare electronics of Fever Ray and prime Prince… The result is an album packed with highlights that will light up the summer nights” Music Week
“Like Hot Chip partying with Madonna… Machine Dreams hovers this close to genius” 8/10 Clash
“Electronic pop gems with a distinctly Prince finish… in the running for album of the year!” Kruger
