Bandcamp | Facebook | Instagram | Twitter Sydney born, Berlin based producer Samantha Poulter aka Logic1000 has today announced that her new EP You’ve Got The Whole Night To Go will be released 22 January via her own label, Therapy. The EP follows up her 12″ single ‘Perfume’ b/w ‘Blossom’ which saw praise from The Guardian, Dazed, DJ, The Sunday Times, NME, London In Stereo, Beats Per Minute and more. Poulter has also recently remixed tracks for Caribou, Christine and the Queens, Don Toliver and LĂ„psley, each made uniquely her own. Along with the announcement she has shared lead single ‘I Won’t Forget’.

Speaking of the track Poulter says:

“There was no doubt in my mind that ‘I Won’t Forget’ would be the lead track off You’ve Got The Whole Night To Go. I love it’s slow build up and how euphoric the vocal is. I wanted to create a mood that was hopeful for a brighter future. I look forward to playing this one in a festival setting. Hoping to get everyone’s hands in the air!”

You’ve Got The Whole Night To Go embraces Poulter’s ever growing confidence in her sound. Lockdown meant that for Poulter the instinctive music making approach that has always come naturally to her was able to flourish. “If at any moment I felt inspired or motivated to make music, I would jump into my home studio” she says, “this gave me a sense of purpose while the world seemed to be falling apart”.

On You’ve Got The Whole Night To Go Poulter hones her production skills as she continues to feverishly get to grips with doing more herself, “the first one felt like a different producer could have been on each track” she says, “but You’ve Got The Whole Night To Go seems to have more consistency. I can’t quite put my finger on what that sonic consistency is, but I notice it’s there”. That’s the key to the continued growth of Logic1000, capturing a moment where things feel right and not trying to overthink it. Listening to her music, that feeling is contagious and energising.

Before she found her musical focus, Poulter was living in her native Melbourne and dabbling in different careers including mental health, children’s services, retail, floristry and running her own businesses. A move to Berlin and the release of her debut EP in 2018 changed everything though, steadily bringing widespread acclaim with tracks being played round the world by DJ’s including Four Tet—who, after hearing Poulter’s music via Anthony Naples, included tracks in his Coachella sets and has gone onto support her throughout her career as a mentor and friend, regularly inviting her to join him on line ups. Her music also resonated with supporters such as (to name a few) DJ Python, Fauzia, Ben UFO, OK Williams, Floating Points, Annie Mac and Caribou. This lead to performances at London’s Printworks, Berlin Atonal and many more.
