Twenty-five-year-old, Indiana-born artist Peter Oren‘s second album, Anthropocene, will be arriving 10 November via Western Vinyl. Previously, Oren shared the first single and title-track which saw widespread praise including a ‘Best New Track’ from NME, ‘Track of the Day’ from Clash plus radio play from 6 Music and Radio 1‘s Annie Mac as well as the equally well received follow up single ‘Falling Water‘.
Today he has followed up with the third single ‘Throw Down’ ahead of his UK tour next month with dates alongside Angelo De Augustine including a stop at London‘s St Pancras Old Church. He also plays at Mirrors Festival on Saturday (28 November). Speaking of the track Oren said:
“‘Throw Down’ is for people fighting for freedom from oppression everywhere. It calls for a break from the destructive norm and a path towards climate change mitigation. It’s dedicated to everyone seeking refuge from war, economic strife, and natural disasters. It’s a song for change.”
