After sharing three incredibly well-received tracks from upcoming album 22, A Million – out 30th September on Jagjaguwar – Bon Iver have announced a European tour – their first since 2012 – taking place across January and February 2017. A full list of dates – which includes shows at London’s Roundhouse and Eventim Apollo Hammersmith – can be found below.
Before these dates, Justin Vernon, The National’s Aaron and Bryce Dessnerand others will be curating a two-day music event at Funkhaus in Berlin. Over 80 artists will feature, including all members of Bon Iver, POLIÇA, Alt-J, Nils Frahm and The Staves. More information and a full list of artists performing can be found here.
Bon Iver debuted 22, A Million with a “truly remarkable” (NPR) front-to-back live performance last month at the Eaux Claires Music & Arts Festival, hosted in Vernon’s hometown Eau Claire, Wisconsin. That performance was timed to the release of extended studio versions of the album’s two opening cuts: ‘22 (OVER S∞∞N)‘ and ‘10 d E A T h b R E a s T ⚄ ⚄‘. A third track ‘33 “GOD”‘ followed shortly after.
