Jaakko Eino Kalevi has shared a new single and video for ‘Deeper Shadows‘, from his forthcoming self-titled debut album that’s due for release on Weird World on 15 June 2015.
Directed by Charlotte Rutherford (Perfume Genius, Marina & The Diamonds), the surreal, illuminous clip – which also features vocalist and album collaborator Suad Khalifa – perfectly accompanies the ebullient, fever-dream bounce of ‘Deeper Shadows’, one of Jaakko’s boldest pop moments to date. A truly mesmerising video, each frame swirls hypnotically from one to the next, as the full extent of Jaakko’s brilliant world is unveiled in idiosyncratic fashion.
Further to the news that Jaakko will be coming to the UK in June – which includes an album launch show at Courtyard Theatre in London – he will also be heading out with Unknown Mortal Orchestra on all of their dates across the UK and Europe this September.
