Bandcamp | Facebook | Instagram | Twitter Logic1000, the alias of Berlin-based producer Samantha Poulter, today announces her new EP In The Sweetness Of You, out 12th November with vinyl release to follow on 19th November via her own Therapy label. In The Sweetness Of You follows on from Poulter’s last EP, You’ve Got The Whole Night To Go, and the recent digital-only singles ‘Safe In My Arms’ and ‘YourLove’. 2021 has seen her on a rapid rise, with a cover feature from Mixmag, a Resident Advisor Podcast, a Radio 1 Essential Mix, a spot on NME 100 as well as rave reviews, widespread radio play across the board and being appointed Radio 1‘s ‘Future Artist‘ in May and featuring as part of their Big Weekend Festival.
Previously describing those two tracks as “house music for the morning,” In The Sweetness Of You continues Poulter’s genre-spanning journey of creating dance music that’s packed with warmth and nostalgia. But this time, she provides five tracks that can be consumed at any time of day or night.
‘What You Like’ glows with the voice of yunè pinku, an 18-year-old Malaysian/Irish producer who brings a mournful introspection to the track. Echoing classic dancefloor vocals, it’s the perfect showcase of Poulter’s knack for melodic song structures.Speaking of ‘What You Like’, Poulter says: “Asha is such a talented artist with an incredible ear, I’m so proud of this tune and so glad to have worked with her.”Speaking of the EP as a whole, Poulter says: “The last EP I made, You’ve Got The Whole Night To Go, was very much a club and festival EP that would have been – if not for lockdown – perfect for playing out. But while making this EP, there was the potential that the songs could actually be played out in clubs and festivals – and there are definitely moments on this release that could be played out. However, most of the tracks are more for listening in a quieter setting. This wasn’t a conscious decision by any means, it was simply the product of experimentation and growth.”
Logic1000 is confirmed for Primavera Sound 2022 with more dates coming soon.
